Upcycling from Looptworks

We came across this company a few months before The Awarenest launch and couldn't wait to share Looptworks.

Loopworks repurposes abandoned materials into cool limited edition clothing and accessories. Looptworks re-uses the world's pre-consumer excess, aiming to reduce manufacturing waste and inspire people to reduce their own impact on planet earth.

Portland Oregon based Loopworks designs clothing for woman and men and we have to say the website while fantastic, does not do the clothing justice when seen in person. These limited edition pieces are very well constructed and there is great attention to detail. What we also love is the fact that our clothing shipped in reusable shopping bags, genius!

Don't forget to take a look at their "HOPTU" LAPTOP SLEEVE - Upcycled from Excess Wetsuit Material this cool looking laptop sleeve will protect the earth while protecting your computer. While sleek on the outside, it’s all business on the inside with durable 100% upcycled nylon neoprene to cushion any thump your computer might endure. What we really like is the fact that the Laptop sleeve has a zipper closure and two small pockets for business cards or other small items. This feature we have not found with other laptop sleeves. In June Looptworks is coming out with the 13" Macbook version. The Awarenest will be giving one away in June so don't forget to sign up for our nestletter to participate.
