Business Summary

Sustainable West Milford is an active and well-known non-profit environmental group that has brought many sustainability initiatives to the township of West Milford. Our mission is to "Enable community members to transform West Milford and its regional neighbors into an economically vibrant, environmentally friendly, and sustainable community through their personal participation and leadership."

Ongoing projects include the Organic Community Garden, the national anti-hunger campaign AmpleHarvest.org, the Native Medicinal Plants Garden, the West Milford Farmers Market, the annual Highlands GreenFest environmental festival, the environmental film series, and a Green Team working to help West Milford achieve certification by Sustainable Jersey.

Meetings and educational programs such as the Herbal Education Series and the Organic Garden Educational Series are ongoing, free and open to the public.
